I turn 31 today.

Life hasn’t gone as planned but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t learned anything over the years.

Here’s what I’ve learned…

  1. Failure doesn’t mean that you’ve failed or that success isnt around the corner.
  2. Practice gratitude daily; it can transform your perspective.
  3. Prioritize self-care and make it a non-negotiable part of your routine.
  4. Surround yourself with people who uplift and inspire you.
  5. Be kind, for kindness costs nothing but means everything.
  6. Take risks and step out of your comfort zone regularly.
  7. Learn to forgive, both yourself and others, for your own peace of mind.
  8. Trust your intuition; it’s often more reliable than you think.
  9. Cultivate a mindset of abundance rather than scarcity.
  10. Continuously invest in your personal growth and development.
  11. Practice empathy and seek to understand before being understood.
  12. Stay curious and never stop learning.
  13. Set boundaries to protect your time, energy, and well-being.
  14. Practice mindfulness to stay present and grounded.
  15. Embrace change as the only constant in life.
  16. Foster resilience; setbacks are temporary if you keep moving forward.
  17. Celebrate your successes, no matter how small.
  18. Learn to say no without guilt when necessary.
  19. Take responsibility for your actions and choices.
  20. Keep a sense of humor; laughter truly is the best medicine.
  21. Value experiences over possessions; they enrich your life in ways material things cannot.
  22. Practice active listening; it’s a gift you give to others and yourself.
  23. Be authentic and true to yourself; you’re at your best when you’re genuine.
  24. Accept that not everyone will like you, and that’s okay.
  25. Remember that growth often happens outside of your comfort zone.
  26. Treat failures as learning opportunities; they’re essential for growth.
  27. Choose love over fear in every aspect of your life.
  28. Live in alignment with your values; it brings a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
  29. Practice patience; good things take time to unfold.
  30. Be open-minded and willing to consider perspectives different from your own.
  31. Cherish the journey; life is about the experiences and the lessons learned along the way.
